Girls flag football is throwing touchdowns and will be for the foreseeable future. School after school are beginning to offer the sport for girls.
With the sport being officially sanctioned, we know that many girls are going to be inspired and empowered.

"Ramona High sophomore Toni Apodaca, 16, was among the first students who planned to sign up for flag football. She said she heard about the new team forming through a few friends who are also interested in playing the sport.
“I’ve never played before and I thought it would be a good opportunity to try something new,” said Apodaca, who is interested in playing a defensive position. “It’s a good way to make friends and make new connections with people.”"
